St. Thomas Poised in Poll

Amid a flurry of losses in the Top 10 over the past few weeks, No. 4 St. Thomas (Minn.) has put together an impressive resume with at least a share of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference crown, and look poised to make a statement in the AFCA Division III Coaches’ Poll. After starting the season at No. 15, the Tommies have passed every test they’ve been given throughout the season and look to finish strong against a very capable Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) squad.

The weekend will also see No. 1 Mount Union (Ohio) face off against conference rival, No. 14 John Carroll (Ohio), for sole custody of the Ohio Athletic Conference championship. The Blue Streaks will have to score plenty against the Purple Raider defense, which has only allowed 31 points and recorded six shutouts throughout the course of the season, if they hope to pull off the impossible.
