Johns Hopkins Blazes Past Opponents

With its 42-7 victory against Ursinus (Pa.) this weekend, Johns Hopkins (Md.) finds itself with its sixth straight 8-0 start as they blaze a path toward their sixth straight Centennial Conference title. The Blue Jays have managed such an impressive season on the back of a high-flying offense that averages more than 42 points a game and ranks in the top 15 in total and passing offense in the NCAA.

There wasn’t much change in the top 25 this week, as only Denison (Ohio) fell in their trip to DePauw (Ind.). With the opening, Case Western Reserve (Ohio) broke into the rankings this week for the first time since 2010. The Spartans also find themselves at the top of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference standings for the first time since joining the conference in 2014. This weekend’s games will feature a couple top 25 matchups as No. 11 Hardin-Simmons (Texas) hosts No. 21 East Texas Baptist and No. 25 Hobart (N.Y.) travels to No. 13 St. Lawrence (N.Y.) in a game that will help decide the Liberty League champion.
