MINNESOTA STATE JUMPS INTO TOP 10 OF THE AFCA DIVISION II COACHES’ TOP 25 POLL

WACO, TEX.– Thanks to some losses from previous Top 10 schools, Minnesota State used a 56-19 win over Minnesota-Crookston to jump four places to No. 8 in the American Football Coaches Association Division II Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. The Mavericks are 2-0 as they prepare for a Top 25 matchup this week against No. 20 Minnesota-Duluth. The Top 5 remained the same with Northwest Missouri State at No. 1, Ferris State (Mich.) at No. 2, Texas A&M-Commerce at No. 3, Shepherd (W.Va.) at No. 4 and California (Pa.) at No. 5.

There are two other Top 25 matchups this coming weekend as No. 17 West Georgia visits No. 24 Delta State (Miss.) to see who the top team in the Gulf South Conference is, while No. 22 Azusa Pacific (Calif.) hosts No. 23 Central Washington in a key Great Northwest Athletic Conference game.
