Texas is No. 1 To Start The 2025 Season

The Texas Longhorns are the No. 1 team to start the 2025 season according to the coaches in the US LBM Coaches Poll. The Longhorns received 28 first-place votes to take the top spot, followed by Ohio State at No. 2 with 20 first-place votes. Penn State was a close third with 14 first-place votes.
Georgia, who finished 11-3 last season, is No. 4 in the poll, followed by the national runner-up in 2024, Notre Dame, who rounds out the top five. Clemson, Oregon, Alabama, LSU and Miami (Fla.) are ranked 6-10.
