Josh Kattus: Kentucky Tight End Leading Through Service
October 31, 2025
On the field, Josh Kattus has become a cornerstone of the University of Kentucky offense. The senior tight end has started in 15 of 33 games for the Wildcats, consistently delivering in critical moments, including a game-winning touchdown against a top-10 Ole Miss team that solidified his reputation as a clutch performer and team leader.
But it’s off the field where Kattus’s true impact shines the brightest. A proud member of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, Kattus has dedicated himself to making a difference in the Lexington community and beyond. Each week, he volunteers at the DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology Oncology Clinic, bringing laughter and encouragement to pediatric cancer patients while inspiring teammates to get involved as well.
His commitment to service doesn’t stop there. Kattus has helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for local causes through Dancing with the Lexington Stars, supported families at the Ronald McDonald House, and worked with the Scott County Humane Society to promote animal adoptions. Whether it’s organizing charity events or lending his time to those in need, Kattus has made it clear that his platform as a college athlete is about more than just football.
From big plays on Saturdays to big hearts in the community, Josh Kattus exemplifies what it means to be a leader a player who leads by example, both between the lines and beyond them.
