Mount Union Continues Their Dominance
November 3, 2025
Mount Union drew one step closer to clinching their 36th Ohio Athletic Conference title and possibly ninth in a row after beating Capital, 65-17. The Purple Raiders scored 38 unanswered points in the second half to run away with their eighth win of the season. Mount Union remains No. 2 in the AFCA Division III Coaches Poll, presented by Hudl, and will travel to Marietta next Saturday.
The top seven teams remained the same for a third straight week, with North Central still on top after a 64-7 win over Carroll (Wis.). No. 3 Johns Hopkins continued their dominance in the Centennial Conference, this time beating then-No. 25 Muhlenberg, 47-26. The loss dropped the Mules out of the top 25. No. 4 Salisbury and No. 12 Christopher Newport both moved to 8-0 as they prepare to face off on Saturday for the top spot in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Both teams have split the last two conference titles.
No. 8 UW-River Falls demolished then-No. 8 UW-Whitewater, 52-14, causing the Warhawks to slide nine spots to No. 17, and setting the stage for another top 10 battle in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as No. 10 UW-La Crosse will travel to River Falls with the winner controlling their own destiny for the conference title.
