Historic comeback lifts Texas over Ohio State

Trailing No. 1 Ohio State, 23-3, entering the fourth quarter, the Texas Longhorns scored 21 unanswered points to come from behind and beat the Buckeyes, 24-23. Texas became the first team to erase a 20-point deficit in the fourth quarter against a No. 1-ranked team since 2004. It was also the Longhorn’s first win over a No. 1-ranked team at home since 1950. The victory moved Texas up to No. 1 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll, while Ohio State fell to No. 6.
Georgia remains at No. 2 while Notre Dame and Indiana both moved up one notch each to take the No. 3 and No. 4 spots. Miami (Fla.) jumped two positions to land at No. 5. Thanks to Oregon’s loss to Oklahoma State and Oklahoma’s loss to Michigan, Ole Miss and Alabama enter the top 10 at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively. The Ducks fell to No. 18 while the Sooners dropped to No. 21.
