[D3 Poll] Wisconsin-Whitewater Keeps Rolling to Set Up Top 20 Matchup

Wisconsin-Whitewater moved to 5-0 in dominant fashion, winning the Miner’s Axe rivalry trophy against Wisconsin-Platteville, 65-21. The Warhawks racked up 630 yards of total offense and led 44-7 at halftime. Wisconsin-Whitewater keeps its No. 3 ranking in the AFCA Division III Coaches’ Top 25 Poll and sets up a Top 20 battle this coming Saturday at No. 19 Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

North Central (Ill.) solidified its hold on the No. 1 spot, gathering 36 first-place votes. They are followed by Mary Hardin-Baylor (Tex.) at No. 2, Mount Union (Ohio) at No. 4 and St. John’s (Minn.) at No. 5.
Besides the Whitewater-Oshkosh battle, the only other Top 25 matchup this coming weekend has No. 11 Johns Hopkins (Md.) traveling to No. 22 Muhlenberg (Pa.). Johns Hopkins sits in a tie for the top spot in the Centennial Conference while Muhlenberg looks to keep pace.
Trinity (Tex.) joins the Top 25 for the first time this season while John Carroll (Ohio) re-enters. The Tigers are 4-0 after beating Centre (Ky.), 34-7, and will host Millsaps (Miss.) on Saturday. John Carroll is 3-2 after a 38-7 beating of Capital (Ohio).
