Florida State’s Richie Leonard IV Leads with Service, and Purpose
November 7, 2025
On this episode, Florida State offensive lineman Richie Leonard IV shares how he’s using football to create positive change in his community. A proud member of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, Leonard’s story is one of compassion and leadership in action.
A Leader On and Off the Field
As a standout member of the Florida State University Seminoles, Richie Leonard IV has earned respect for his performance in the trenches, but his greatest legacy may be the one he’s building beyond the game.
He founded the Richie H. Leonard IV Football Camp, a free annual event that brings together more than 300 kids and families for a day of football skill development, mentorship, and fun. The camp allows young athletes to learn, grow, and be inspired at no cost.
Committed to Community Service
Leonard’s heart for service runs deep. He’s traveled on a Fellowship of Christian Athletes mission trip to Argentina, volunteers at local elementary schools, and participates in Special Olympics events in Tallahassee.
He also gives back to his roots by supporting his childhood AAU basketball team, purchasing shoes and equipment for players in need so every kid can compete with confidence.
Turning Adversity Into Action
Richie’s passion for helping others is deeply personal. Inspired by his mother’s courageous battle with cancer, he’s working to launch a care package initiative for cancer patients — offering comfort, encouragement, and hope to families facing similar challenges.
Through this effort, Leonard continues to live out his belief that athletes can make a meaningful impact far beyond the field.
A True Example of the Good Works Team Spirit
Richie Leonard IV exemplifies the mission of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, recognizing student-athletes who balance academic excellence, athletic performance, and a commitment to serving others.
His leadership and humility make him a powerful example of what it means to use your platform for good.
