Lennx Brown: Leadership, Service, and the Power of Giving Back
November 19, 2025
Lennx Brown has become one of the most respected voices in the Morningside University locker room. As a wide receiver, he has played a key role in the Mustangs’ success, helping lead the program to a conference championship and a national semifinal appearance. His consistency, toughness, and willingness to do the little things right have earned him All-Conference recognition and the trust of everyone around him.
What truly sets Lennx apart is the impact he makes when he is not wearing a helmet. Over the past several years, he has been involved in service efforts across the country and around the world, including work in Louisiana, Cuba, Uganda, and Honduras. He has also taken part in local community initiatives such as tornado relief and youth mentorship programs. Whether abroad or at home, he brings the same energy and commitment to people as he brings to football.
A major source of his motivation comes from his sister, Merzedes, whose memory continues to guide him. Lennx and his family created the Merzedes Hard Memorial Fund to honor her life and provide meaningful support to families who are facing difficult moments. The fund helps drive community projects that create lasting, positive change while keeping Merzedes legacy alive.
Lennx’s story is one of resilience and purpose. He has used his experiences, both challenging and inspiring, to lift others and to set an example for his teammates and his community. His recognition as a member of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team reflects not only what he has accomplished on the field but the heart he brings to everything he does.
Morningside University and everyone who has crossed paths with Lennx can see the difference he is making. His journey reminds us that leadership is not measured only by statistics or wins, but by the lives we influence along the way.
