
AFCA Professional Development (PDS) Instructions

Convention attendees can earn professional development hours by participating in the Professional Development Series (PDS) and/or High School Coaches Academy (HSCA). An attendance verification system will keep track of lectures attended. Those who attend the required number of lecture hours will receive a certificate of completion. The required number of Professional Development Series hours is six (6) and the required number for High School Coaches Academy is three (3).
Sessions that offer hours for PDS Certification:
- Buzz Sessions
- General Sessions
- Outside the Lines Sessions
- Junior College Sessions
Sessions that offer hours for HSCA Certification:
- Buzz Sessions
- High School Coaches Academy
- High School General Sessions
You can report your PDS and/or HSCA credit hours online via the AFCA membership portal. Directions are below:
- Open the camera on a smart device OR open your devices search browser
- Take a photo of the QR code with your camera OR search the URL by typing it into your browser
- Fill out the Google Form
- Hit Submit
- Wait until 30 days after the convention to receive a certificate of completed hours
**YOU MUST COMPLETE A NEW FORM FOR EACH SESSION YOU WANT TO RECORD HOURS FOR**
If you are unable to complete the electronic log for any reason, please keep a personal record of the sessions you attended and email them to pds@afca.com at the end of the convention
