AFCA Professional Development (PDS) Instructions

Convention attendees can earn professional development hours by participating in the Professional Development Series (PDS) and/or High School Coaches Academy (HSCA). An attendance verification system will keep track of lectures attended. Those who attend the required number of lecture hours will receive a certificate of completion. The required number of Professional Development Series hours is six (6) and the required number for High School Coaches Academy is three (3).
This year, we are no longer using unique codes for each session. You will just need to select the sessions in which you attend in the online form. The session name along with the name of the speaker will be in the online form.
Sessions that offer hours for PDS Certification:
- First Timers Meeting
- Buzz Sessions
- General Sessions
- International Sessions
- Kickoff Speaker
- GA Career Forum
- Breakout Sessions
Sessions that offer hours for HSCA Certification:
- High School Academy Sessions
- National High School Coaches Forum
- High School General Sessions
You can report your PDS and/or HSCA credit hours online. Directions are below.
- To use the QR Code Below:
- Open the camera on your smart device
- Scan the code and all your device to open the link
- Fill out the online form
- Press Submit when finished
- Wait up to 30 days following the Convention to receive your certificate.
- Or click the image & it will take you to the site
- To use the URL link:
- Open a web browser on any device
- Visit bit.ly/afcapds
- Fill out the online form
- Press submit when finished
- Wait up to 30 days following the Convention to receive your certificate.
**You are only required to fill out this form once after you have attended the required number of sessions.**
If you are unable to complete the electronic log for any reason, please keep a personal record of the sessions you attended and email them to [email protected] at the end of the convention
