
Army and Navy Ranked Together in US LBM Coaches Poll
Rivals Army and Navy are both ranked in the US LBM Coaches Poll for the first time since USA TODAY began administering the poll in 1991. No. 23 Army dismantled East Carolina, 45-28, and is 7-0 for the first time since 1996, while No. 24 Navy dominated Charlotte, 51-17 and is 6-0 for the first time since 1979.
Oregon moves to the No. 1 spot after Georgia beat then-No. 1 Texas, 30-15. The Bulldogs rise to No. 2 while the Longhorns drop to No. 6. Penn State, Ohio State and Miami (Fla.) round out the top 5.
Dropped out: No. 22 Michigan (4-3); No. 25 Nebraska (5-2).
Others receiving votes: UNLV (6-1) 28; Syracuse (5-1) 27; Washington State (6-1) 25; Duke (6-1) 7; Liberty (5-0) 6; Memphis (6-1) 6; Tulane (5-2) 3; Wisconsin (5-2) 3; Cincinnati (5-2) 2; Arizona State (5-2) 1; Nebraska (5-2) 1.
