MD Daniels, Head Coach – Mount Mercy

On this week’s episode of Inside the Headset – Presented by CoachComm, we’re joined by MD Daniels, Head Coach at Mount Mercy.
In this conversation, Coach Daniels reflects on the opportunities and experiences that shaped his coaching journey, the importance of building genuine relationships with players, and the value of fundamentals, hard work, and continued growth throughout a coaching career.
As the first head football coach in Mount Mercy history, Daniels brings experience leading programs and developing players on both sides of the ball. Before arriving at Mount Mercy, he served as co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at Bethel University in Tennessee, helping the Wildcats compile an 18–5 record over two seasons and reach the NAIA playoff quarterfinals. Previously, Daniels served as defensive coordinator before becoming head coach at Iowa Wesleyan, where he guided the Tigers to their most wins in 10 seasons.
