
Ole Miss Takes Down LSU

Ole Miss used a stingy defense to beat then-No. 4 LSU, 24-19, moving to 5-0 on the season for the first time since 2022. The Rebel defense held LSU 100 yards below their season average on total yards, allowing just 254 yards and just 2-of-11 on third down conversions. Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss threw for 314 yards and a touchdown, while adding 71 rushing yards in the win. The Rebels jump seven spots to No. 4 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll while LSU drops to No. 13.
Ohio State remains No. 1 followed by new No. 2 Oregon. The Ducks handed Penn State a 30-24 double overtime loss and dropped the Nittany Lions to No. 6. Miami (Fla.) moves up three spots to No. 3 with Texas A&M rounding out the top five. Alabama upset Georgia in Athens, 24-21, dropping the Bulldogs to No. 10 while the Crimson Tide rose five places to No. 11.
